Staple In My Stash: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Cleanser

liz earle

After winning more than seventy-five prestigious awards the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser must be doing something right! The company believes so strongly in this product it doesn’t make any other cleansers – just this one! This does what it says and I feel it would not only be offensive, but selfish if I didn’t share this small miracle. For those of you who are YouTube fanatics (like me!!!) I’m sure you’ve heard many, many, MANY reviews about this product, commonly referred to as a “cult product” by countless YouTube gurus.

What is it? Liz Earle is a British brand that only uses naturally active ingredients. This particular product contains: purifying eucalyptus essential oil, rosemary, chamomile extracts, and cocoa butter. Depending on the size of the product you order, it comes with a push down pump applicator which releases the creamy goodness! The formula is a thick, white cream which applies to the skin very well!

My skin type:Oily/Combination

Does it work? I’ve been using this product for nearly a month now and its worked wonders, keeping my skin looking healthy and happy. After every cleanse, my skin feels thoroughly smooth and clean. This product is truly worth the hype.

How to use it: All you do is tape some in your hands rub it all over your face and then using a wet muslin clothe wipe away the dirt! You can apply to a dry face with or without make up!

How much is it? The 100ml bottle retails at £14.25 – see in John Lewis stores or the Liz Earle website at

Other comments: Although I feel the smell can be a bit much (I’ve a very  heightened sense of smell) I am definitely going to be purchasing the full size of this product and I also want to try out many of the other products they offer. I wish I had found this product years ago!
